How do traders integrate W.D. Gann Arcs into their trading strategies? It usually involves a technique called, ”“arbitrage trading”. The process involves using the information that occurs after the major charts to anticipate when significant events in the history of the chart (like a stop-loss level or price level) are about to occur, as these events suggest a deviation in price from their norm and therefore imply that a condition (or “arbitrage”) will be created between price/timeframes of the charts. D. Gann Arcs into their trading strategies? Before I started trading The Gann, I was a 100 person stock trader. I was using technical analysis tools and the tape charts from Thomson. I thought that chart printing and scrolling the tape charts through the thousands of stocks was tedious and inefficient. I started watching video trading shows on CNBC at 10:00am EST. And every day I stayed glued to them for hours, looking at the charts of the stocks that I couldn’t go long in my own account. I started trying to trade stocks and futures with what I was learning from the day to day stock news, most of which I learned from my TV watching. After four years of trading 100 stocks through the day and trying to “get something going” with a variety of EA’s for 3 years, I finally switched to Gann. I was convinced in my heart that the Gann would make me money all day long. Tears from relief and laughter erupted as I remembered the hours I watched my buddies trade after hours on the weekend with their EA software. I lost at least one year of my earnings, about $100,000, to EA and how it was used through the tape. I was more than shocked. I was also discouraged that I wasn’t getting results from trading The “day.
