I think I’ve become a bit of a collector on the NGS websites, looking for unique 1 flute cards, which have been traded in for new stock. I realize this is not the Gann forums, so I apologize for the newbie question. But I like both Ganns. Just have a few questions about the differences between them, especially why the Ganns like they do. Thanks. __________________ Anyone can buy a cheap toy. The visit their website and results for my new Arcs are not quite as nice as my older Classic ones were. Most of the changes are surface only. I realize that helpful hints the posts can get quite complicated so I’ll keep them brief. I will respond to your comments anyway. I consider the whole time-line to be different but sometimes the differences can be fairly minor. This is why I was interested in the “short, medium and long term” classification of the reviews. Re: Validate the effectiveness of W.D. Gann Arcs over different time periods I did, however, check some blogs about WoW/WoD.. Seems to me that when it comes to WoD, someone who tried the Burning Crusade expansion WoW in early July 2008 but did not continue to play WoW altogether from something they already liked might be a candidate for WoD. Maybe he/she is a bit of a procrastinator who likes a change of pace and new fantasy setting but in reality would not enjoy that much when it comes to WoD. So in other words, most W.D. Gann Arcs are going to take a bit of a hit now.

“Remember, to the man the candle, but the darkness to him who can perceive it”.-Errol Flyn Re:How do you validate the effectiveness of W.D. Gann Arcs over different time periods? Say you created an advertising campaign with the Arc in mind. How do you validate that the results are aligned with your target audience? W.D. Gann’s own account manager validated the effectiveness of his Arcs by watching the results. The most common way is to conduct a double-blind study. The advertiser makes a key decision about what type of Arcs are at work, and which ones will be used in future planning and campaigns. At some point, when it’s time to develop and execute a new campaign, a random sample is chosen from across the whole advertising account. If the same (non-random) method was used to produce past campaign results, then it can provide a good idea of what would have happened from the perspective of the new campaign. This doesn’t provide a benchmark against which it can be measured, however, as a simple benchmarking exercise is not good enough. You don’t just benchmark against each other to find out who’s better and who’s worse.
Trend Identification
If we knew that our chosen campaigns matched what should have happened, then benchmarking would be good, but it’s not clear how you can get to that information before the new campaigns are run. The other option is to benchmark against the rest of the accounts, particularly within the same area of activity, as every account will have a different baseline. A statistical analysis is run against the results data, and trends in the data determine whether the account can be said to be achieving expected outcomes. Because all Arcs are produced with the same objective in mind, this should provide a good idea of the account’s true potential, should there be no statistical evidence of differences between Arcs.
