What are the differences between W.D. Gann Arcs and Circles and Andrews’ Pitchfork?
What are the differences between W.D. Gann Arcs and Circles and Andrews’ Pitchfork? The other day I was thinking: ok I need a new layout for my website, but in order to do this new layout, I need to know certain things about circles and arcs, and a website I visit often has a wealth of information regarding these two shapes. I looked for references for the different things I needed to know (and read) versus just copying and pasting what I found on Wikipedia, but after a few minutes, I just became overwhelmed and lost. I figured I’d come to this forum to save myself, and ask if someone knows what the basic differences are between the W.D. Gann Arcs and Circles and page Pitchfork and why they are used. The W.D. Gann Arcs and Circles help form cirlces & arcs in the following: The Pitchfork helps form triangles, rhombs, & triangles on a fixed line, where it can move both outwards or inwards. It can also help form angles on the diagonal of a rhomb, which can then be moved into a circle. In reference to my goal, to create a website that can display all of the information about these two different types of shapes in a clear layout: What information should be posted in a general layout, that is so essential (not just for a circle to work, but for a comparison among the different types of shapes in a common text/image layout? In reference to the shapes themselves, how can we simplify them in terms of just being a circle with a stick or having straight edges? (yes in the same form of 1:1 but in the same way that we treat a triangle as 3 straight sides, or a pyramid like structure.) First I suppose I should mention my problem.

Hi Bill Yes of course the angle is the same when you use a pitchfork. The angle is 100 degrees, but when you use the pitchfork the end of the arc is not on the tangent but isn’t closer to the pole than to the tangent. Sorry to keep harping, but I don’t know how to make an arc with B as the center of the arc with W as the pivot point and G as another point, and then G as the pivot point and F as another point.
